Mandy's Story, Homeless to Hopeful
“Before I was accepted into Alpha-Omega Miracle Home, I was homeless with a child and living in a small storage unit. My child was sleeping in a car seat while I slept on the floor.
AOMH was my last chance, so when I got a phone call back, my life changed. It was the coldest night of the year when they picked me and my child up, and took me to a warm hotel for the weekend until my new home was ready. It was the first time my son had slept in a bed. The staff brought homemade soup and some clothes for us. I was so blessed because I had been on my knees crying and praying to God, asking for him to help. God answered my prayer and I received exactly what I prayed so hard for, and then some.
Since coming to AOMH, my life has completely turned around. The gift of safety and security is huge. I can give my son a better life now that I received my high school diploma, have a stable job, save money and I am working towards owning a car. I am so grateful for the opportunity to change my entire life in a positive way with loving people all around me to cheer me on. Coming to Alpha-Omega has changed my whole life!
