SLEEP OUT ON-SITE

The Sleep Out Challenge brings together a small group of business, community, and faith leaders for one night at the Tringali Barn to raise awareness of homelessness. Participants hear powerful stories from Alpha-Omega residents who have experienced homelessness, then spend the night in a simple shelter—such as a cardboard box, tarp, or tent—to gain a small glimpse of what many women and children face. The next morning, we gather for coffee and conversation before everyone returns home—having helped raise awareness and vital support for Alpha-Omega’s mission.

Host Your Own Sleep Out

SIGN UP TO HOST
YOUR OWN SLEEP OUT

Host a Sleep Out Challenge at your home, church, school, or workplace and join us in raising funds and awareness of homelessness on the First Coast. Families, churches, small groups, and businesses can spend one night outside or in a simple shelter—such as a tent, sleeping bag, tarp, or cardboard—while reflecting on the reality many women and children face. Begin the evening by sharing Alpha-Omega stories or praying together, then gather the next morning for coffee and a short discussion. Your Sleep Out helps raise awareness and vital support for Alpha-Omega’s mission.

2. Fundraise and spread awareness.

Once you sign up, you’ll receive instructions to create a fundraising page for yourself or your group, complete with a shareable link. Spread the word via social media, text, or email—and consider posting a live reel the night of your Sleep Out as you prepare to sleep outside.

3. Sleep Out

February 27 | 7:00 PM – February 28 | 7:00 AM

  • Sleep Out at Tringali Barn (registration required), or

  • Sleep Out at your own location

Sleep Out events are a community movement to help end homelessness. This experience is not about pretending to be homeless, but about understanding, reflecting, and standing in solidarity. Hear from past challengers below.
